The Vinton County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting sealed bids for a set of Ohio State University Football season passes. The Chamber has been a season ticket holder for several years and uses the tickets for Chamber fundraising. There are two tickets to each of the team’s home football games and the retail value for the ticket set is nearly $1,200.

The home schedule includes the Miami Redhawks, UCF Knights, California Golden Bears, UAB Blazers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Purdue Boilermakers, Illinois Fighting Illini and the Michigan Wolverines. The minimum bid considered will be $1,400. These tickets usually sell for between $2,000 and $3,000.

Vinton County Marketing Director Brandi Betts said the Chamber’s seats are excellent and that all who have used the tickets have raved about them.OSU football tickets are becoming a much sought after commodity. As is true of all Chamber fundraisers, proceeds will benefit the Chamber’s many activities, including Christmas in Downtown, a college scholarship fund and helping to operate the Vinton County Visitors’ Center.

Betts suggested that this would be a great opportunity for an extended family, group of friends, or coworkers to see the Buckeyes play at home this year. “This would be a great time for fellow football fans to pool their money for a chance to see the Buckeyes in action,” she said.
